Welcome
The purpose of this site is not so much to announce for a presidential run at 2024 but to speak from a policy perspective of how I believe an independent candidate should run today. The name of the site comes from the fact that I would not even consider a presidential bid until 2024, as it's the earliest I believe I could be prepared to run for president. The odds of my actually making a run are extremely small, but I see some value in offering my views for the public and, more importantly, providing an outlet for discussion of those ideas that will help generate out of the box solutions that may actually pose value.
Disclaimer: I never have been involved in politics nor it's study. I'm a technical professional and am looking at these problems through a critical engineering perspective. I do not know all the language of the political world and therefore may not be communicating in the same manner as an insider to this field. I expect many of the comments to be from people of the same persuasion. Therefore, I do not expect anyone to hold this against me or any contributor as it goes against the intended purpose of this site. Educate, don't belittle. Demonizing has become far too common a political tool regardless of it's users being from the political right or left. The quality of the comments is all that counts on this page, not the quality of the commenter. A jerk with an opinion can still be right despite being a jerk.
The way it works
This website is set up as a Wiki. I intend to offer locked pages that only I can edit as stances or theoretical policy. These pages will have comment sections attached, under the discuss link on the individual page. Those sections can be used to discuss the paper as written. Users in the community can then generate counter-policy in a similar format. As the counter policy evolves hopefully we'll see new and valuable ideas emerge that hopefully propagate into a larger audience.
